ABOUT ME
Accredited naturopaths have undergone extensive training. Association membership and health fund rebate requirements ensure that today’s naturopaths are qualified and have had rigorous training in anatomy and physiology, pharmacognosy, science and chemistry, disease pathology, nutritional and herbal medicine and counselling skills.
You can achieve long term results – this is because we treat the cause of disease. If you have ever struggled to resolve a chronic health condition such as anxiety or depression, hormonal imbalances such as irregular or painful periods, infertility, gastrointestinal disorders such as IBS or food sensitivities, then naturopathic medicine offers you an effective solution to achieve long term health.
We take a holistic approach to treatment. This means we consider your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. We listen and really spend the time with you to gain a comprehensive understanding of your health and what is driving your symptoms. We not only address your presenting condition and symptoms but also consider how your lifestyle, habits and diet may be contributing to your condition and suggest better alternatives. We put together all the pieces of the puzzle allowing underlying patterns and conditions to emerge. We also use in-house diagnostic tools and functional testing to gain more information. Our systematic and holistic approach allows for deeper understanding and more effective treatment.
Seeing a professional naturopath saves you money and time. It is also safer than self-medicating. A lot of people are inclined to google their symptoms and self-prescribe rather than seek professional help. This may seem like a quick and cheap way to resolve your health issues but really it is not the most effective or safe way of treating yourself – Sorry Doctor Google! There’s a reason why health practitioners undergo years of training and study. If you have an infected tooth you will not try to remove or treat it yourself, you will go see a dentist. If your toilet is clogged up, again, you will not attempt to fix it yourself, but will call a plumber instead. For the same reason, if you have a chronic health condition or niggling symptoms that seem to be getting worse, seeing a qualified professional means that you get the most effective and safe treatment possible.
Naturopathic medicine is extremely effective in treating chronic illnesses and conditions that modern medicine struggles to treat, such as poor immunity, adrenal/chronic fatigue, digestive disturbances, hormonal imbalances, low mood, anxiety, and even weight loss, just to name a few.
Naturopathy is a gentle and natural healing system. There are very few, if any, side-effects when using a professionally accredited practitioner. In fact more than half of Australians and over 80% of the world’s population use natural medicines.
Subject to government regulation, you can claim a portion of your naturopathy consult from you private health fund provider, assuming you have the appropriate level of cover.

I started seeing Michelle for my gut issues last year as I had developed a number of intolerances and digestives upsets over the years but couldn’t get to the bottom of what was causing them. After a couple of sessions she helped me recognise what the culprits were and had me on a gut repair program that helped me immensely. Now I can eat the majority of foods that I previously couldn’t, and I also feel clearer in my head and have new found energy. Highly recommend!
